opening night: Ottawa jazz festival
The Ottawa Jazz Festival is a week-long event where some jazz heavy hitters as well as Indie bands come and turn our city into a hub of culture and music. Thursday evening was the opening night, and we were given awesome VIP passes to watch in style, as The Heavy and Dr. John & The Nite Trippers performed on stage. It was pretty cool to be sipping on cold #OttawaAfterDark beers (yes, a beer named after a hashtag!) and canapΓ©s amongst serious jazz appreciators, decked out in feathered fedoras and tinted sunglasses. spring has sprung
Maybe we’re a little early as spring isn’t for a couple of weeks, but yesterday afternoon, Ottawa had its first taste. Its lovely what some warm weather can do; the streets were busier than ever, and everyone seemed to be in great spirits. We even snapped a few photos of some stylish people, for our Street Style features! There are so many great things to see and do in the Market, but one of the best reasons is that there is no shortage of dessert shops, if you have a sweet tooth.
