opening night: Ottawa jazz festival

The Ottawa Jazz Festival is a week-long event where some jazz heavy hitters as well as Indie bands come and turn our city into a hub of culture and music. Thursday evening was the opening night, and we were given awesome VIP passes to watch in style, as The Heavy and Dr. John & The Nite Trippers performed on stage. It was pretty cool to be sipping on cold #OttawaAfterDark beers (yes, a beer named after a hashtag!) and canapΓ©s amongst serious jazz appreciators, decked out in feathered fedoras and tinted sunglasses.

We also scored free week-long passes to the Jazz Fest After Dark Series, which extends the great live music into the night! More Indie and tech bands will be performing at the After Dark Series, which is an awesome prelude to a night on the town. We’ll be attending as many of the After Dark events as we can, and you can expect awesome photos and hopefully some street style captures! Make sure you follow us on Instagram for some #OttawaAfterDark updates!
