Pumpkin spice season
Being an academic at heart, I’ve always loved this time of year. Glossy new textbooks, new stationary, and of course, a new wardrobe. It also seems that as soon as September rolls around, I’m immediately in that autumn mindset. Layering, deep colours, and rich textures. Something about fall has me smitten for classic cuts and patterns (and as an aside, also pumpkin-spice-everything!). These ankle editor pants are an instant fave in my wardrobe this season. While I haven’t seen the telltale signs of spring in Ottawa yet, like the open patios in the Byward, and fresh produce at the farmers market, there’s one thing that tells me spring has surely arrived — the blooming of spring dresses and bold colours. You can stop holding your breath, its time to give the blacks and greys a well-deserved break. ‘Cause ladies, the season of bare legs and stilettos is finally upon us!
