spring ’13 Ottawa vintage show recap
We felt a bit spoiled this past weekend, as we bounced from brunches to hangouts with old and new friends alike, only to be capped off by some fabulous weather Sunday for the Vintage Show. Not a bad way to kick off summer! Whereas our first time at the show this past fall consisted of maybe grabbing everything we could (all essentials, we swear), this time we did more targeted shopping. CJ scored the perfect fitting trench coat for a price you couldn’t believe and Katherine picked up some really unique brooches. More so than finding neat treasures though, we love how the vintage show brings all kinds of people…

a day at the museum (no Ben Stiller, though!)
Last weekend, we had the pleasure of spending the afternoon shooting with Amanda and Younes of Doublespace Photography. This was no ordinary shoot though – as this duo specializes in architecture photography, so it was really awesome to see how they combined the art of space and fashion in a photo. Between watching them work their magic, lots of laughs, and learning a bunch about photography, the day seriously just flew by! The photo shoot was at the Canadian Museum of Nature, in what’s called “The Lantern”, a four-story glass chamber on top of the main entrance to the museum. It was the perfect backdrop, and it was pretty neat…
