opening night: Ottawa jazz festival
The Ottawa Jazz Festival is a week-long event where some jazz heavy hitters as well as Indie bands come and turn our city into a hub of culture and music. Thursday evening was the opening night, and we were given awesome VIP passes to watch in style, as The Heavy and Dr. John & The Nite Trippers performed on stage. It was pretty cool to be sipping on cold #OttawaAfterDark beers (yes, a beer named after a hashtag!) and canapΓ©s amongst serious jazz appreciators, decked out in feathered fedoras and tinted sunglasses. We get heckled quite a bit from our friends over at Caffeine Dreams | Liquor Schemes (recently featured on Freshly Pressed!) for not dressing urban or “street” often enough. So we took their jabs to heart, and had fun with some graphic prints and denim. Graphics are everywhere right now, and is a simple and unique way to dress down an outfit.
