Ottawa fashion blogger problems
It’s a scary thought, but the seven months of winter in Ottawa has officially begun. We wish we were exaggerating, but the temps plummet below zero beginning in November, and based on last year’s extended season, doesn’t reach real spring weather until June.
Layering is now officially a necessity, rather than something we do for fashions-sake. We have to admit, we’re pretty jealous of all those California bloggers out there, not having to deal with this extreme weather. Canadian bloggers have it rough, we’ll tell ya!
This all means that shooting outside will become less and less feasable. When we first launched the blog last winter, we quickly learned that outdoor shoots weren’t very pleasant (to say the least), and we had to get resourceful with shooting indoors on campus, or stealthily at coffee shops.
We’re currently working on setting up an indoor studio (DIY soft box project, anyone?) so that we can have a bit more freedom with how we can showcase our looks. However, in the meantime, expect to see red noses, pink cheeks, and parka-layered outfits in the next few blog posts!

We’ve already vowed to only shoot indoors, and its still November! The short days are probably the worst part though. Its the most depressing thing being at work or in class the whole day, then leaving and its dark. I feel like a vampire never seeing actual sunlight -.-
