Be #dapper on Valentine’s

Valentine’s day is right around the corner, which means…well not a whole lot really (I know I’m treading in deep waters, give me a sec). What I’m actually trying to say is if you have a special someone, be sure to shower them in love ALL year around as if everyday was Valentine’s Day, and not just on one day because everyone else is (how’s that for a save, eh?)

Now don’t get it twisted, I’m not #antiValentine or anything silly like that. Rather, I’m pumped for the affair, as it’s another reason to get dapper. Whether it’s going out for dinner, attending a show of some kind, or grabbing drinks at a swanky bar, chances are you need to be looking your best. Let’s up the ante however, so how about looking your best AND being distinct? This EXPRESS blazer fits the bill.

Casual yet refined enough for a collared shirt, this emblazoned red blazer will also look at home with a crew neck tee. With a look of linen, it certainly gives off a ‘je ne said quoi’ in its muted texture. I’ve been on the hunt for a pastel coloured blazer for a while, and the cross between red and pink means not only will it be perfect for #Vday, but you’ll stay sharp through spring into summer.

With the blazer being bold as it is, I found it best to tone it down below with gray slacks. EXPRESS has several fits for today’s modern man, and while I vary between the extra-slim fit Innovator and slim fit Photographer, I’d say I’m definitely the former after wearing these bad boys. Low rise, super tapered leg openings, and enough stretch to ensure you’re ready for anything, man all I can say is you can’t go wrong with these.

To tie it all together (literally), I found this blue floral silk number to be the perfect complement to the bold blazer. And with that, c’est tout! Valentine’s day dapperness is in the bag. Well mine is at least, how about yours gents? #LoveExpress
