how to wear it: orange and red

We admit – warmer hues like oranges and reds can be pretty tricky to pull off.Β A lot of people just stay away from these daunting colours, because its hard to create outfits around such awesomely bold colours. When styling ourselves with an orange and red colour palette, we either tone down the colour by pairing it with a more subtle piece, or play up the boldness by colour blocking.

But he’s definitely not afraid to go all-out and turn some heads. A few weeks ago, he went for a full monochrome orange outfitΒ with another pair of orange slacks. Funny story about these chinos – he bought these for a mere $5, and left the store wearing them. (But seriously now, who has the need to get more than one pair of bright orange pants?)

Katherine took another route, and decided to bring even more attention to her orangey-red dress by colour blocking. Blue works really well as a contrast with fiery hues, and so does pink and even green.
