A dapper holiday season

Gents, it’s time to start thinking about the holidays. Before you know it, November will be over in the blink of an eye, and December will be at our doorstep.

Like Kath said in her last post, this means family, social gatherings, and of course, great holiday parties. So, this is the time to ditch the 9-5 go-to’s, and pull out all the stops.

Sporting peak lapels, this sport coat has some serious flair fit enough for James Bond himself. Fit wise, this number should require extra no tailoring, as Express gave it it’s popular slim ‘Photographer’ look. Ready to wear same day? Count me in.

When asked to define my style, I usually go with “classic gentleman-esque, with a hint of modern ruggedness.” Going with a pair of black or grey dress pants would have definitely worked, but I though I’d try something a little more edgy and I believe it works!

Being such a versatile piece though, these utility pants would look easily right at home with a pull over and high tops. Underneath the blazer, a simple black dotted shirt was all that was needed to tie everything together.

Let this be your most dapper holiday season yet gents; can’t wait to see who’s going to pull out all the stops. Tag @expressrunway and use #GiveStyle for your chance to featured on their socials!

The season of glitter: With Express

Dare I say it? The holidays are upon us. Well perhaps I’m pressing the fast forward button, but in my calendar, once November rolls around, I’m very happily in the festive spirit. Living far from home, the holidays mean getting time off work to see my family, annual reunions with friends from university, and having an uninterrupted week of relaxation. So needless to say, I really look forward to the holidays.

And yes, I am one of those that put up the tree mid November, and secretly smiles as Michael Buble’s Christmas album oozes through my ear buds.

Between work Christmas parties and festive nights out with friends, this is the time of year to really have fun with your outfits! I’m talking lace, sequined dresses, and everything that sparkles.

I immediately fell head-over-heels for this two-piece, metallic crop top and skirt from Express. The peek-a-boo cutout under the bust, combined with the shoulder-bearing neckline is the perfect combination of sexy and flirty. The high-waisted skirt is also incredibly flattering, and sits just high enough to expose a little midriff.

Who says metallics can’t be work everyday? ‘Cause you know me, all about that versatility.

I would love to hear about what y’all have planned for the holidays. Outfits, plans, and all!
