The Gary: A men’s spring must-have

Do you ever have those days, where plans come up spur-of-the-moment and you have to run out the door looking smart and more importantly, rocking shoes that’ll carry you through bouncing around the city on foot? Dress shoes are out of the question, since well, its a Sunday. And a true sneaker doesn’t always look the greatest with a toned-down dress shirt and pants combo — so what’s a guy to do? That gap in my shoe arsenal is now filled by The Gary by ECCO Shoes.

Given the opportunity to test-drive these shoes by ECCO as part of their latest spring collection, we’ll get the obvious out of the way — they look good. Fresh out of the box, with their craftsmanship and premium leather construction, you can tell you’ve got quality in your hands. To be honest, it’s not hard to find a good-looking shoe. But where most fall short is when it comes to comfort. No worries here though, as these shoes were definitely designed with comfort in mind. I can see these being perfect for days off or in between work.

While I wore this with a blazer for a more contemporary weekend look, I can’t wait to pair these with a denim look, or my now infamous (and kind of controversial) short suit look.
