Montreal street style

A couple of weeks back, we took a trip to Montreal to get away from the city a bit. You’d think us being fashion lovers, we’d have visited the nation’s fashion capital more often, but this was our first “real” time.

The first thing we saw as we left our hotel was a blocked off intersection, to let a hoard of naked men on bikes pass – yeah, this definitely wasn’t Ottawa. Having no “actual” agenda, we set about the city on foot, exploring Old Port, stumbling onto the Montreal Jazz Festival, and of course a bit of shopping (or maybe a lot).

This was inside of a burrito bar on St. Laurent – so good and filled with so much character. Apparently CJ’s mind was boggled about all the graffiti on the wall.

We also had the change to meet up with Daura, half of Montreal fashion blog, Snob Affair! Having connected over social media, it was great to finally put a face to the name and finally meet one of the style gurus behind Snob Affair.

We loved what Daura was wearing! With her fresh white shorts contrasted with her printed top, you can tell that she knows her runway looks. Even her sleek hair-wrapped ponytail touched upon that high-fashion feel.

Aside from getting dressed up and occasionally attending neat events, one of the most fun parts of blogging has been meeting with so many new people. Blogging has introduced us to this awesome micro world of people who we would never had connected with otherwise!

This past week, we’ve collaborated with Roadtrip to host a giveaway of some of their fabulous pieces. We’re excited to announce that the winner of the Birdseye French Opera dress is Melinda Hudson. We’ll be contacting you soon, so keep an eye out for our email!
