Desigual: La vida es chula

Last week we finally had the pleasure of paying a visit to Desigual‘s recently opened store at Bayshore Mall. Walking into the store decorated with colourful designs and strings of seashells hanging from the ceiling, we knew that this was going to be a very different shopping experience — and it was!

Desigual is a fun, carefree, and colourful Barcelona-based brand. Even the staff embodied that fun, optimistic vibe. A special shout out goes to store manager, Stephanie, as she was a joy to work with!

As for the clothes themselves, the entire spring-summer collection featured light-hearted designs, and were perfect for a laid-back and playful summer. While the clothes were so versatile and easy to wear, this definitely did not come at the expense of quality. These pieces will become lasting items in your wardrobe.

I tried on a few items, and really fell in love with some items designed by Mr. Christian Lacroix. I ended up leaving with a fabulous pair of floral shorts, and a gorgeous embroidered dress. The silky high-waisted shorts featured a fun tropical vibe, and are perfect for pairing with an easy, breezy tank top. They even had pockets — double win!

The Natalia dress is a piece that I had fallen in love with even before visiting the store, after seeing it on Adriana Lima at NYFW. Its a relaxed, shift dress made of high-quality cheesecloth. All this stunner needs is a pair of nude pumps and earrings, as the dress is definitely statement alone!
