jazz fest: Ottawa After Dark
This was our first night at the Ottawa After Dark Series, and the Belleville Orchestra was performing on stage. The orchestra consisted of 7 musicians, who played wacky 1930s-inspired French tunes while the animated movie, The Triplets of Belleville played in the background. This was pretty cool in itself, as the film was well-known for its award winning soundtrack. And of course, after the show, we had to take a few snaps of our #OOTN (that’s outfit of the night, for you non-Instagrammers). the Great Gatsby invades Ottawa!
On Wednesday night we attended the Great Gatsby Salon fundraiser, at the St Laurent Centre. If you’ve followed from our last post, we were asked to attend the event as their special guests and cook up a guest post for the STL blog. When we walked into the room, it was seriously like we had stepped out of a time machine, right into the Buchanan mansion.
