How are you celebrating your “Galentine’s” Day?

With Valentine’s Day being just around the corner, this shouldn’t be your call to hide, or secretly resent those couples that’ll be celebrating together. To the single ladies (queue Beyonce) or if your man won’t be around to celebrate, V-Day is the perfect chance to to catch up with the girls and look hot as heck while doing it. Against my protests and pouting, CJ will be out of town for V-Day, so how will I be spending the night with my girlfriends?

The place to be on Galentine’s Day will be at the “Magic Mike” Event hosted by RSVP, on February 14th at 6pm, at the Centurion Centre (170 Colonnade Road). The event will be catered to the single ladies, or us gals that won’t have our men around! Like any great party, there will be an endless supply of drinks and dancing. But to make the night extra spicy, there’ll be a lingerie fashion show hosted by Melia Concepts Lingerie, silent auction, and ladies, what may peak your interest — gorgeous male dancers.

General tickets are $45 and will give you admission to the event. VIP tickets are $65, and you’ll get VIP seating for the shows, photos with the dancers, leave with a gift bag full of goodies, and admission to the after-party at Mansion (valued at $20)!

Last year, we put together a “What to Wear on Valentine’s Day” guide if you’re celebrating it with a special someone. This year, we’re taking a different route — what do you wear if you’re spending V-Day with the girls?

1. A twist on the “girl-next-door”
A girly and flirty dress is always fun! Think A-line cuts, and anything lace lace or chiffon.

2. Classic LBD with red or pink accessories
This look will probably be for you if you were never one to “theme” dress. You probably avoided red dresses over Christmas, sequinned outfits for NYE, and anything overly pink or red for V-Day. Pair an LBD with red heels, accessories, or just a bold red lip!

3. The siren
There’s no better time to break out that red body-con dress that you never wear because you think its “too much.” If there’s any time to flaunt your feminism and sex appeal, it would be Valentine’s Day with the girls!

4. Edge appeal
If girly and frilly isn’t quite your thing, don’t fret. V-Day isn’t all frills and flowers. Wear some reds or pinks with some leather accessories or knee high boots!
